Lucia di Lammermoor, by Donizetti

Scotland, late 16th century. As wars between Catholics and Protestants raged, Lucia Ashton and Edgardo de Ravenswood, both descendants of rival families, love each other. But Enrico, Lucia’s brother and Edgardo’s main enemy, is determined to destroy their union. By a diabolical plot, Enrico manages to lead his sister into a deep madness with fatal consequences. This tragedy, directed by Alain Gauthier, offers an opportunity for young Canadian talent to express their immense talent.
