Philip Chiu, a renowned Canadian pianist, will chair the Jury for the AIDA Grants of the JM Canada Foundation

The JM Canada Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Philip Chiu, a distinguished Canadian pianist, recipient of the inaugural Goyer Prize from Mécénat Musica, and the 2023 JUNO award-winner, as the President of the jury for the AIDA Grant. This prestigious appointment underscores the JM Canada Foundation’s commitment to supporting and promoting emerging young musical talents.

Joined by René Rouleau, a retired ballerina and JM Canada volunteer, Véronique Desjardins, Executive Director of the JM Canada Foundation, and Danièle Leblanc, Executive and Artistic Director of JM Canada, Philip Chiu will lead the jury in selecting the future recipients of the AIDA Grants.

Philip Chiu shared his enthusiasm by stating :

“I’m grateful to have the privilege of supporting the incredible musical talent emerging from Quebec’s cultural institutions. If you are eligible, I urge you to put together a strong application (stack the odds in your favor!); show us what makes you unique, how committed you are to your journey, how you plan to achieve your goals and, finally, how the JMC Foundation can help you on your journey through its AIDA fund.”
