Jeunesses Musicales New Brunswick is offering Scholarship Opportunity to New Brunswick music students
Caraquet, N.B., June 27th, 2016 – Jeunesses Musicales New Brunswick, with the support of the Laetitia-Cyr Fund, is pleased to offer a number of scholarships to students from New Brunswick who wish to take master classes, enroll in a recognized music camp, or compete in a national or international music competition. The jury comprosed of three (3) members, Ms. Lisa Roy, Mr. Jean-François Mallet and Mr. Michel Cardin selected the recipients for 2016.
This year’s six (6) grants, valued at $500 each, were awarded to:
Conor P. Britt (Rothersay), cello, for Domaine Forget;
Sumira Bothé (Moncton), violin, for Domaine Forget;
Mélanie Cosman (Moncton), trumpet, for Domaine Forget;
D’Arcy Blunston (Grand-Sault), soprano, for Halifax Summer Opera Festival;
Jessie Guerrette (Sainte-Anne de Madawaska), soprano, for Opera Nuova, Edmonton;
Sophie Dupuis (Lac Baker), composition, for a workshop in Pavia, Italy.
