Montreal, June 30, 2026 – The Jeunesses Musicales Canada Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jérémie Tunis and Ms. Michèle Guevremont to its Board of Directors.

These two new appointments strengthen the Board’s expertise in key areas such as law, human resources, governance, and organizational development, while reflecting a genuine commitment to the Foundation’s mission and to fostering youth development through music.

Mr. Jérémie Tunis

A lawyer with Monette Barakett, Jérémie practices primarily in labor and employment law, occupational health and safety, civil law, and health law. He holds a law degree from the Université de Montréal and earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and political science from the same institution.

Prior to being called to the Bar, he completed his articling placement at the Administrative Labour Tribunal, where he contributed to legal research and the drafting of opinions for administrative judges.

His connection to the mission of Jeunesses Musicales Canada is deeply personal. Raised in a family where classical music played an important role, he himself received musical training through Quebec’s Conservatory network. Convinced of music’s positive impact on youth development, he now wishes to contribute his legal expertise to the Foundation’s growth and long-term sustainability.

Ms. Michèle Guevremont

As Regional Human Resources Director at CBC/Radio-Canada, Ms. Michèle Guevremont brings extensive experience in human resources management, labour relations, and strategic organizational support.

Throughout her career, she has advised and supported managers in a variety of contexts, including change management, talent development, labour relations, and succession planning. Her work with teams across Canada has provided her with a broad perspective on human and organizational challenges.

A trained musician, she has maintained a close connection to classical music since childhood and recognizes its powerful role in fostering creativity, self-confidence, and resilience. Committed to making music accessible to all young people, she looks forward to contributing actively to the Foundation’s mission and to the continued reach of Jeunesses Musicales Canada.

Complementary Expertise in Support of the Next Generation of Musicians

“We are delighted to welcome Jérémie and Michèle to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Their professional expertise, combined with their personal commitment to music and youth education, will be a tremendous asset to our organization. Their arrival will help advance our mission of supporting emerging musical talent and expanding access to classical music across Canada,” said Claude Gagliardi and Christine Chan, Interim Co-Chairs of the Board of Directors of the Jeunesses Musicales Canada Foundation.
