Montreal, June 11, 2026 — Under the banner of boldness, Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JMC) proudly unveils Joseph-Rouleau Hall’s 77th season. For the 2026–2027 season, JMC presents a rich musical journey where variety takes centre stage. Featuring guest artists, JMC Concert artists, beloved children’s classics, and new productions, this season’s lineup is sure to wow audiences of all ages.
“The programming at Joseph-Rouleau Hall offers an intimate classical music experience at an affordable price. It is an opportunity for audiences to discover or rediscover classical music in a unique Montreal setting. I am particularly proud of the concerts we are presenting this year.
This season promises to showcase the full breadth of classical music while highlighting some of the finest emerging artists, including Krystina Marcoux, Pierre Rancourt, Duo Magner-Pion, Duo Cordavox, and Ensemble Passamano.
Young audiences will once again enjoy the theatrical concerts for which JMC is renowned. Through stories told from a variety of traditions, they will be introduced to live music with productions such as a new version of Annabelle Canto and a guest production by Aurélie Morgane.”

A season subscription to either of our two series offers a 30% discount off regular ticket prices. Music lovers who prefer to explore the season at their own pace can also receive a 20% discount by purchasing three concerts within the same series. It’s an ideal opportunity to enjoy multiple musical experiences without breaking the bank.
2026-2027 SEASON
Happy Hour Concert series
Presented in a relaxed after-work format on Thursday evenings, Happy Hour Concerts feature some of the most promising emerging musicians performing a curated and narrated programme lasting 60 to 75 minutes without intermission.
This season’s Artist-in-Residence, the talented marimbist Krystina Marcoux, invites audiences to discover her instrument through three unique concerts alongside fellow musicians.

November 19, 2026 — In Félix’s Shoes explores the work of Félix Leclerc with baritone Pierre Rancourt, joined by multi-instrumentalists Chantal Bergeron and Andrew Wells-Oberegger, as well as double bassist Francis Palma-Pelletier.

December 3, 2026 — Viola Fantasy: Schumann, Waxman, Franck, presented by Duo Magner-Pion, featuring Wilhelm Magner on viola and Elisabeth Pion on piano.

April 1, 2027 — Nomadic Melodies: Ravel, Britten, Evangelista, presented by Duo Cordavox, featuring soprano Lucie St-Martin and guitarist Bruno Gauthier-Bellerose.

April 15, 2027 — Tango Landscapes: Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos. Kapustin, presented by Ensemble Passamano, featuring Annie Noël-de-Tilly (flute), Aidan Fleet (cello), and Kevin Chen (piano).
For this series, audiences are invited to arrive at 6:00 p.m. to enjoy a complimentary beverage before the concert begins at 7:00 p.m.
Cushion Concert series
For children ages 3 and up, young music lovers are captivated by the Cushion Concerts, a series of seven theatrical and educational concerts that introduce kids to a wide range of instruments and the beauty of music. Concerts are presented on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

October 31, 2026 — The Halloween Jam invites children and adults alike to create northern lights and howl at the moon alongside the characters of this fantastical tale.

November 15, 2026 — La forêt des mélomanes* introduces children aged 3 to 7 to the woodwind family.

December 6, 2026 — Un monde pour Noël* brings audiences into the holiday spirit with some of the season’s most beautiful Christmas songs.

February 7, 2027 — The Great Rhythmobile Adventure follows percussionists who play on everything they can find to rediscover rhythm and get their vehicle moving again.

March 14, 2027 — Les Aïeules* invites audiences to discover the stories of the exceptional women who shaped Haiti’s independence at Théâtre Rouge.

April 4, 2027 — Il était une flute* combines storytelling and flute music to introduce children to the enchanting sounds of the instrument.

May 16, 2027 — To close the season, JMC presents the Quebec premiere of Annabelle Canto, a delightful journey through great operatic arias filled with whimsy and imagination.
