Montreal – Thursday, April 23, 2026 – Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JMC) is pleased to present the season finale in their Happy Hour Concert series, Postcards: from Isaac Albeniz to John Willams, with Duo Aster, composed of Clio Theodoridis on saxophone and Jonathan Nemtanu on piano. The show will be held at Joseph-Rouleau Hall at the André Bourbeau JMC House on Thursday, April 30h. Don’t miss your chance to catch the duo, who are hot off the heels of a twenty-show tour in Quebec and the Maritime Provinces.

The concert explores the world of classical music by taking the audience on a journey around the globe. Through Spanish, Hellenic, and Arab sonorities and across different eras, Duo Aster reveals the beauty of the saxophone and the depth of the piano. Danièle LeBlanc, Jeunesses Musicales Canada’s Executive and Artistic Director, shares: “Hearing the saxophone in repertoire beyond jazz is simply captivating! The duo is irresistible, and their virtuosity allows them to showcase a wide range of playing techniques, such as growling and slap tonguing.”
