Montreal, October 25, 2023 – Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JM Canada) is pleased to announce the national tour of Enamored Violins, featuring Duo Vivo, a duo of virtuoso string players who promise to deliver a musical experience brimming with emotion. The tour, part of JM Canada’s Emerging Artists Concerts, will give audiences a unique opportunity to discover two exceptional artists, Richard Zheng and Roxanne Sicard, in a warm and intimate setting.
Well-known violinist Richard Zheng has travelled to several countries throughout the Americas and Europe where he has enchanted audiences with his technical mastery and passionate performances. His musical journey includes collaborations with internationally renowned orchestras and critically acclaimed recitals.
Roxanne Sicard, an exceptionally talented violinist, has been hailed for her musical sensibility and expressive playing. She has been recognized with several awards and distinctions, demonstrating her commitment to musical excellence.
The Enamored Violins tour will begin in Rouyn-Noranda on November 8, 2023, and will include 22 stops throughout Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritime provinces, coming to an end in Sainte-Thérèse on May 5, 2024. Duo Vivo will present a diverse repertoire, ranging from timeless classical compositions to contemporary works, in a refined and profound performance showcasing the repertoire for two violins.
Executive and Artistic Director Danièle LeBlanc expressed her enthusiasm ahead of the start of this tour, emphasizing: “We are delighted to have Duo Vivo join us for our Emerging Artists Concerts. Their artistic talent is a source of inspiration to young musicians and their performances will be a treat for classical music fans.”
Tickets for the Enamored Violins tour are on sale now through the JM Canada website and at local sales outlets. Given the limited seating capacity of the performance halls, music lovers are advised to purchase their tickets early to guarantee admission to these unique performances.
