Montreal – Thursday, February 12 – Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JMC) is pleased to announce the next performance in their Happy Hour Concert series, French Panorama: Ravel, Descarries and Farrenc, featuring Ensemble Callinos at Joseph-Rouleau Hall at the André Bourbeau JMC House on Thrusday, February 19th.
This exceptional concert is brought to life by Ensemble Callinos, a trio of experienced instrumentalists who perform with talent, virtuosity, and charm. Artists Edyelwys Silva (flute), Thomas Chartré (cello), and Jeanne Frenette (piano), invite you to enjoy the playful melodies of Pierné, the sweetness and richness of Descarries, and the dazzling virtuosity of Farrenc in a concert combining charm, tenderness, and passion. Exploring the flute trio repertoire, the concert is a heartfelt tribute to the great composers of 19th- and 20th-century France, among others.
According to Danièle LeBlanc, Executive and Artistic Director, the “trio is sure to win over Montreal audiences with their talent. They’re all warmed up after having presented this concert on tour, where they explored a new, more theatrical recital format. This new format allowed for a more intimate connection with the audience that left the crowd wanting more!”
