“Learn how to build a multi-sensory musical instrument out of recycled materials.”
Do-It-Yourself Music 1: Build a foghorn guitar
In this workshop, children give new life to everyday items by creating an original instrument: a foghorn guitar. Strumming and blowing are just part of the fun in this imaginative creative workshop.
Do-It-Yourself Music 2: Build a multi-mouthpiece trumpet
The trumpet is an instrument that is well known to young people. But do they know the role the instrument’s mouthpiece plays? What would happen if we changed the shape of the mouthpiece? Children will find out by building their own carnival trumpets with multiple mouthpieces. Get ready for fanfares and trumpet blasts!
