In keeping with its founders’ tradition of excellence, JMC continues to introduce you to the finest artists of tomorrow, and has prepared an excellent season of music that is as rich as it is varied. A first for the 2010-11 season: seven different productions are being presented.
We will be welcoming back piano duettists Janelle Fung (British Columbia) and Philip Chiu (Ontario). Cellist Arnold Choi (Alberta) will also be on tour with exceptional pianist Wonny Song (Quebec). Harpsichordist Martin Robidoux (Quebec) is also on the programme, as is a duo made up of pianist Julien Le Blanc (New Brunswick) and violinist Marc Djokic (Nova Scotia).
Pianist Michelle Yelin Nam (Vancouver) will join flautist Jocelyne Roy (Montreal) and, in association with the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, we will be presenting a new string quartet called the Sonora Quartet, made up of the institution’s most gifted students. Finally, we are presenting Donizetti’s famous opera L’elisir d’amore. This new production will feature some of the finest opera artists of the new generation.
Whether you live in Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes, or British Columbia, a concert awaits you!
