Instrument: cello

Having begun her career at a very young age, Caroline Milot has already taken part in numerous concerts, as a soloist, chamber musician, or principal cellist with several orchestras, that have been broadcast across the American and European continents. She was one of the youngest cellists to join the ranks of Quebec’s finest ensembles, notably the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and the Orchestre Métropolitain, with which she regularly performs. In addition, she is the associate principal cello for the Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières. An avid fan of chamber music, she was the winner of two of North America’s most prestigious chamber music competitions in 2007: the Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition (Los Angeles), and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition (Indiana). In 2003, Caroline Milot co-founded the Ponticello Quartet, a Montreal-based ensemble of cellists that appears in concert several times each year, has received a number of awards, and recorded an album in 2010. Over the last few years, Caroline Milot has also taken part in the recording of some ten other albums in a wide variety of musical styles.
