Instrument: Pianist
Hawaiian pianist Maika’i Nash is quickly establishing himself in the opera world. Currently studying at Shulich School of Music of McGill University and the Conservatoire de musique du Québec in Montréal, he works with a number of young singers throughout Montreal and the US Northeast, and went to Vienna, Austria in the summer of 2010 to take part in an intensive Lied program at the Franz Schubert Institut. Since arriving in Montreal in 2005, Maika’i has performed with a number of amateur and professional groups. He was recently a vocal coach for the comic opera La Serva Padrona with La Fête Coloniale, and for the Gilbert & Sullivan operetta Trial by Jury with the McGill Savoy Society, among other shows.
