A native of Prince Edward Island, tenor Graham Thomson is making a name for himself as a sensitive and intelligent performer. He debuted as Count Almaviva in Jeunesses Musicales of Canada’s production of Rossini’s Barbiere di Siviglia. He continued to explore the Rossini repertoire, singing Arigirio in Summer Opera Lyric Theatre’s Tancredi and Rodrigo Dhu in Opera In Concert’s La Donna Del Lago. In July 2009, he was a prizewinner in the Elora Festival and the Brian Law Opera Scholarship Competition. In the fall, he appeared in Opera Lyra Ottawa’s production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, and was also selected to appear as Rooster in the company’s newly commissioned opera, The Bremen Town Musicians, by composer Dean Burry.
